This is a good sized restaurant with a larger menu to choose from. There lots of different specials to choose from. Many of the items are $15+ with not too many option below that. Even though there were 3 or 4 servers when it wasn't busy it was difficult to get a hold of them. They were either missing or always looking the other way.

I was spectacularly underwhelmed with my noodles and sirloin wrapped around enoki mushrooms. 3 whole wrapped mushrooms with a spoonful of (most likely frozen) vegetables. The broth was surprisingly flavourful. I was suspicious that it was loaded with MSG but I was not super thirsty a couple hours after this meal. We were more pleased with the amount of meat that came with the second dish. Who would've thought that pig trotters had more meat than sirloin?

Will we come back? I suppose it's possible but there's just so many options nearby with better value for our money.

Stay away from this restaurant and its bland and boring food.

Firefly is a cha chann teng that serves fusion dishes. They seem to hate making good food. Every time I've been here (usually not by choice), the food has tasted like it came straight from a prison kitchen. The only selling point might be that their portions are larger but only because they magnify the carbs portion (e.g. rice). Some disaster food items here include the guava food shake and anything that is cream-based really.

I recently  visited with a friend for afternoon tea. We ordered the seafood ravioli and black-pepper linguini. The dishes that came were about the same size as a budget microwave meal. Tasted like it too - the ravioli sauce was watery and the linguini was over peppered.  You'd have better luck trying out some of the other restaurants in the plaza.

My family and I came for a breakfast, and like any other HK style restaurant was greeted with tea. However we were greeted with two cups of tea when we were a group of three. We left her know politely and she rudely said "I know, I know I have other things to do" so we assumed she would come bring us another cup later . However that was not the case, we asked another waitress and she immediately gave us another cup of tea (mind you it wasn't even that busy yet I'm curious to know what happens when it really gets busy).

Food wise everything was super oily, my chicken udon came with a very watery oily broth. I assumed like other restaurants it would at least come with some veggies - came with a spoonful of green peas and carrots. Beverage wise - The Hong Kong Milk tea had no tea taste and literally tasted like milk water. I hope that their steaks and what they are known for are at least good but unfortunately with the service I received I'm not sure whether I will come back to try so soon.

Pretty good deals they have right now, set dinner menus for 2 people for only $28. Includes soup, drink and dessert.   They also have a buy 3 mains and get 1 free promo (cheapest dish is free ofc) which to my surprise they even counted the $28 promo as buying 2.  It was only $50 tax in for 4 ppl in the end!
Food is alright in taste and for the price is a good deal. The dinner menu for 2 includes a lobster dish which does give half of the tail and a claw.

Like many mentioned below this is one of the cheapest eats in Markham. The first time we came here we came with some friends after a long day. Tonight we both ordered the spaghetti meat sauce with cold lemon tea. The spaghetti came out fast and was delicious. Portion size was also very generous considering the price. You can't go wrong with this late night menu. You can also get bubble tea as part of your order which is a great deal. Would definitely come back for a quick, fast, and cheap late night meal.
